About Heike Delmore: Photographer

“MAKING WOMEN LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND PHOTOGRAPHING THEM IN THE ARTISTIC STYLE THAT WE SEE IN OUR FASHION MAGAZINES – THAT IS MY STYLE.”

I'm inspired both by fashion magazines and the personal stories of my clients! I come from a very diverse cultural background, and as such, I love finding beauty and uniqueness in everyone I photograph!

In highschool I was that girl who bought every edition of Vogue. I carefully examined all of the ads and editorials. I thought Herb Ritts was a god! With excruciating detail I ripped out Guess, Capezio and Calvin Klein ads and posted them on my bedroom wall. I studied the poses, the gazes, the colour, the graininess, the hair and the make-up. To this day, I still have those magazines... and you guessed it, they are in pristine condition.

"It’s never too late to be what you might have been", a quote by English novelist George Elliot pretty much sums it up! As a graphic designer for 10 years before photography, I worked in both Canada and Europe for influential advertising agencies.

An invaluable experience that has trained my discerning eye for photography -- specifically for capturing qualities or emotions a photo must evoke in order to get published in a magazine or sell an advertisement.  This is what sets my approach apart from other photographers. I would love to hear how you would like to be photographed. Send me an email today!
